The
2008 Tribeca Film Festival offers plenty of fun for kids with a free family street fair and a selection of films for both younger kids and teens.
The Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair
- When: Saturday, May 3, 2008. 10 AM to 6 PM
- Where: Greenwich Street between Hubert St. and Duane St.

This free street fair is open to the public and features plenty of family-friendly entertainment -- from puppeteers and storytellers to dancers, stilt walkers, face painters and more.
Enjoy special performances on boulevard stages and neighborhood streets, with surprise appearances by favorite characters from movies, books, and television. The main stage will feature professional Broadway performers and local Tribeca talent.
On Greenwich Street, you'll find a grand promenade of tents, where local restaurants and merchants will offer tasty treats and other goodies.
You can also get creative with activities like Chinese calligraphy and spin art that support downtown schools, compete against chess masters, or fly a kite in the Kite Garden.
Tribeca Family Film Festival Premieres

- Terra -- This animated film tells the story of a girl who must protect her idyllic planet from invading Earthlings who want to take over.
